As you are aware the world is a global village and that the revolution in information technology has been the major catalyst of the globalization of the business environment. The NEPC website is therefore aimed at and designed to meet the ever increasing need for information by all stakeholders in the business of Nigeria’s non-oil exports – be they Nigerian government agencies, Nigerian exporters, producers, importers of Nigerian products and even Research and Development Organizations worldwide. I am proud to announce that Nigeria has an enormous amount of non-oil resources, most of which are yet to be fully tapped.
NEPC is an establishment created by statute of the Nigerian Government. It is a wholly owned and funded by Federal Government Agency charged with the responsibility for promoting the export of Nigerian non-oil products and services.
The Vision of the Council is to make the non-oil export sector a significant contributor to Nigeria’s GDP, while our Mission is to facilitate market opportunities for exporters and promote sustainable economic development. |

Our core functions therefore are:
- To promote the development and diversification of Nigeria’s non-oil export trade;
- To assist in promoting the development of export related industries in Nigeria;
- Spearhead the creation and implementation off appropriate export incentives; and
- To actively articulate and promote the implementation of export policies and programs of the Nigerian government.
Since its inception, the Council has made significant strides into the world market to claim a continuously growing portion of market share in several sectors, ranging from manufacturing, semi-processed, commodities, handicraft, horticulture, garments and textiles, aquaculture and sea products, wood and wood products, leather and leather products, solid minerals, services, etc. We have put in place strengthening structures for Human Capital Development, Capacity Building and Incentive Schemes. We have opened 13 zonal offices nation wide to cover the 6 (six) geopolitical zones. Our modest achievements can be assessed through our newly created website, which will be regularly updated to serve the need of our stakeholders.
